Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Coordinator to lead and enhance jobsite safety programs across active projects. This role is critical for OSHA compliance, fostering a strong safety culture, and supporting project teams from preconstruction through completion.
The Safety Coordinator will collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and productive job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor jobsite safety policies in compliance with OSHA regulations
Conduct safety inspections; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; coordinate corrective measures
Deliver safety training programs, including new-hire orientation
Stay current with OSHA standards, safety codes, and industry best practices
Review superintendent toolbox talks for compliance
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records
Encourage reporting of unsafe conditions and workplace injuries
Support emergency response efforts and incident handling
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
3–5 years of jobsite safety experience in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance
Experience with ground-up projects in healthcare, financial, commercial, or light-industrial sectors preferred
Ability to travel 60–75% (short-duration trips)
Valid driver’s license

Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and inspect construction sites
Occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs.)
Regular use of laptop, tablet, and phone
Combination of office and active construction site environments
Exposure to weather, noise, and moving equipment
Required use of PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves, footwear)
