About the Role:

We are looking for a Tax Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional client service. This role will lead tax engagements across multiple industries, provide guidance to junior team members, and play a key role in supporting the firm’s continued growth and innovation.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with clients in Maritime, Hospitality, Construction, Healthcare, Non-profit, and Governmental sectors, making this an exciting, high-impact leadership role with broad exposure and advancement potential.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage, review, and sign off on complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, gifts, and non-profits.
Oversee tax engagement teams, assigning tasks, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor for their tax and compliance needs.
Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Identify and support opportunities to expand client services and improve internal workflows.
Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff and junior associates.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar tax-focused role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree preferred).
CPA license or active CPA candidacy is strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of federal and Louisiana state tax codes and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities with a high attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
