About the Role
As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a full caseload independently while collaborating closely with a supportive team of attorneys and legal staff. You will primarily focus on criminal defense litigation, with opportunities to expand into civil rights, personal injury, or family law, depending on your interests and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in criminal defense and related legal matters, including hearings, trials, motions, and negotiations.
Manage assigned cases from intake through resolution.
Draft and review legal pleadings, discovery responses, and motions.
Attend weekly team meetings and case reviews.
Advise clients on legal strategies and case progress.
Maintain compliance with all professional and ethical legal standards.
Collaborate with legal assistants and administrative staff to ensure efficient case handling.
Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Idaho (or ability to obtain quickly).
Minimum 2 years of legal experience, ideally with criminal defense exposure.
Strong litigation and courtroom presence.
Proficient in legal writing, research, and case management tools.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in handling misdemeanor and felony defense cases.
Background in motion practice or appellate work.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) proficiency.
Familiarity with southern and eastern Idaho court systems.
