About the Role:
As a Senior Roadway Engineer, you will take ownership of roadway design on a variety of state and municipal transportation projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative roadway solutions that meet FDOT and AASHTO standards.

Minimum Requirements:
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida
5+ years of post-PE registration experience in roadway design
Strong working knowledge of FDOT and AASHTO design criteria
Experience leading roadway design and production efforts
Skilled in reviewing and finalizing roadway plans and documentation
Proficiency in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Passion for mentoring junior staff and team development
Commitment to safety and compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with project management on transportation projects
Proven quality control review expertise
Involvement in marketing and business development initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Lead Technical Engineer or Engineer of Record (EOR) on roadway projects
Oversee preparation of design plans, calculations, and technical documentation
Perform field reviews and site inspections as needed
Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure design compliance
Collaborate with internal project teams and external stakeholders
Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
Contribute to proposals, client presentations, and BD efforts
